Susan Patricia was born and raised in the Los Angeles area of California. She earned a degree in Technical Illustration from Los Angeles Trade Technical College. After graduation she decided to further her education at Otis Parsons School of Design and at the University of Los Angeles in photography, computer graphics, and surface pattern design. Although Susan initially started to work as a technical illustrator and graphic artist, silk painting is what truly caught her attention. Susan Patricia established a type of silk painting that contained a high level of realism and precision, aided by her formal education, that is uniquely her own. Her meticulous style combined with vibrant, luminous colors, allows her artwork to stand out and be recognized. Susan Patricia has been strongly influenced by her travels throughout Europe, the South Pacific, and Central America, to create warm, tropical imagery. Patricia’s work has been in major art shows throughout Europe, Asia, and the United States. Her work has also been featured in Hyatt Regency Hotels and Embassy Suites Hotels in Hawaii. Her artwork can also be found on many different products including greeting cards, calendars, puzzles, house wares, and clothing. |
