Teppei Sasakura was born in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. Sasakura attended the Commercial Design Department of Musashino Art University in Tokyo. After graduation, Teppei worked as a graphic designer and later became an illustrator for an advertisement production company. In 1990, Teppei Sasakura had his first solo exhibition at Spiral Gallery in Aoyama, Tokyo. During this time, Teppei started to devote himself to creating works as an artist and a few years later presented his artwork in the Los Angeles Art Expo and the New York Art Expo. December of 1998, he had his first museum solo exhibition at "Daimaru Museum Tokyo." At this exhibit, Sasakura comprehensively showed all of his artwork to date, including those completed during his illustrator days. In May of 2004, he held his first international solo exhibited in Recanati, Italy. Since 1991, Teppei Sasakura created more than 110 print works and has received positive reviews. |
